This is an ‘old-school’ strain, not to be confused with the new Platinum range (often crossed with Blood Orange Diesel):
Lineage and Origin
Genetically speaking, it is the result of a rigorous selection process from a packet of Legendary OG seeds, subsequently stabilised by High Alpine in the S1 (selfed) and then R1 (reversal) versions. It was a pure ‘Kush’ CBD strain, unlike many other modern hybrids which incorporate very fruity parents from the outset.
Aromatic Profile and Terpenes
That’s what made its reputation. Whilst the Platinum leans towards creamy and orange/lavender notes (via Blood Orange Diesel), the original Legendary OG is raw and dense.
Dominant notes: A massive, intense
, gassy-style hit. Base notes: Hints of fresh pine, wood and damp earth (Kush), accompanied in some phenotypes by a very subtle touch of dark berries (blackberry, grape, blackcurrant) and coffee/chocolate (the famous Chocolate Chip phenotype).

Legendary OG is generally divided into two distinct phenotypes:
